And I wrote some poetry. Well, one poem. And it's really short. And it doesn't have a title. But I was feeling really melancholy at work today, so below the jump lies sappy-weird-poem-time. Beware!

I worked so hard
to keep you innocent
To keep the smile
on your face
and in your heart.
I should be hard inside
Like stone.
Cold.
Unfeeling.
Drained of all energy
Can't keep up this
charade
for much longer.
I should simply tell you
if just to end this pain
this strain
But when you turn
towards me
Smiling so sweetly
You crack a joke
and I think
For one more day
I can stay
light and free
Unhardened.

Maybe someone can guess what this was inspired by. All I will say is that it is NERDY. Because I'm a nerd.
